TRIPP Vision 4+

Ironically, an app that supposed to put you into a meditative state makes you actually furious to try to set up. Having to enter all your information to create an account while you’re in the Vision Pro is a lesson in madness. It’s almost impossible to clear a field for a mistake. I spent five minutes just trying to put my email address in because I couldn’t find a way to erase the incorrect characters. Other than that episode, the app itself is wonderful. A nice selection of Dreamy sessions for focus, calming, sleep, etc. Will most likely get a subscription when more content is available

Wa excited to see it available on Vision Pro. I have wasted a great deal time trying to load and log in. You must open the app twice because the first time it crashes. I deleted and reinstalled the app 3 times and always it crashed when first opened. I tried opening my account from the mobile app, and that app would say it was connected to my Vision Pro. However, the Vision Pro app still wanted me to sign in and would not proceed to the actual app. I tried signing in directly it would claim that that password was invalid so, I changed my password on my mobile app. It’s still would not accept the new password. Said it was invalid. At this point, I am giving up. I will try again maybe in a couple of weeks. It will be sad if I can no longer use TRIPP because I enjoyed it on the quest. Lots of bugs need to be fixed before it will be in anyway a relaxing app.

I am updating this review because I was finally able to sign in. apparently my password needed to be changed not on the website but on the mobile app. Once I got on, I enjoyed the app much like I did on quest2.

Some of my favorite scenes from the quest 2 app we’re not there, but there were some new ones that were beautiful. I miss my sanctuary, but I’m guessing that some of the missing scenes and the sanctuary will eventually be added to Vision Pro app.

I have tried a lot of meditation apps. This one is my favorite.

Our app is built on Unity, and Unity apps don't have access to many Vision OS features, such as the system keyboard. Our team is working hard on workarounds to make account creation easier so that our customers can access all of our cross-platform features that having a TRIPP account enables. It’s clear the developers just ported their app from other headsets. What they should have done is waited a bit longer and created a custom experience for the Apple Vision Pro. The user interface they’re using from the ‘other’ headset doesn’t adapt well. The sign up is almost impossible, and then to navigate the app is confusing because it’s not designed for the Apple Vision Pro. Once you do get into a session, some of them are spectacular. Though, again, you can tell that they were designed for lower resolution devices. Lines on columns are jagged, or in the library you can see pixelation, which kills the immersion. I hope the developers can pause and go back to the drawing board.
