TroveSkin: Skincare Coach 4+

Good - but I don’t use it for its intended purpose

Instead of using this app to monitor current skincare routines and expiration dates, I use it as a journal for rating skincare I’ve used, much like IMDB or Letterboxd for movies. The 5 star system works great for that, as do the sections that ask what you like about the product and what you don’t. My only issues are that some updates could occur to make it easier to use your product list as a catalog instead of the app acting like you’re using all these skincare products constantly. Also, I do frequently have to custom add products, even some pretty well known ones, so the catalog needs a major update.
Overall though, I can’t complain too much, especially for a free app.

Just recently I got my first breakout! Just turned twelve a few days ago and i new this was coming. The one day that I got them I started freaking out and texting my cousin for help. Thankful we talked and she told to find some skin scanning skincare websites. That very second I thought about TroveSkin! It was an app my friend told me about. She had just gotten her first break out then, and told me to use when I get mine. She ended up only getting breakout durring her period (happens to the best of us 😅). She always says that she would be a pepperoni pizzz if it wasn’t for this app. I used the app for 3 days and now I don’t have any pimples. This app is actually a living legend! I’m going to tell my kids about this when I get older lol! Thanks so much for helping my skin. The only feedback I have to give you guys is is there any way you could make the routine part more accessible. It’s very hard to find and I struggle to find it a lot. But other than that... Thank you!!!! 😍😘🥳🤩💞💚💕💚🖤🧡

so disappointed.

I have been using this App since it was just starting up. I tracked my skin for the past almost two years and had been confident that my photo logs would be saved on the app and I would not need to save it to my phone. Excited for an update, I eagerly download it just to my absolute horror that all of my data and pictures were inaccessible unless I paid a 799 monthly subscription??? Absolutely ridiculous that there was no warning, and I couldn’t save ANY of those past pictures and documentation of my skin journey. Now, I have lost years of data because of another money-hungry app looking to feed on loyal users like me who will be DEVASTATED to see they can no longer compare skin or see ANY of their past selfie logs. i emailed customer service and they have yet to respond to me.
i use these pictures with my dermatologist to track my progress, and now what? I MUST pay to see data that used to be free, without any warning or notice to SAVE the previous photos?

absolutely no reason why i need to pay money to see MY data that i used to be able to access any time. Now i have no pictures documenting my skincare journey and i am heartbroken. hopefully they fix this for users that have been loyal and allow them to at least retrieve their selfie log & skin analysis pictures :(
