Description

What if mobile devices could make your employees safer? What if they could unleash productivity? They can. TRUCE enables companies to manage employee mobile device usage based on their mobile device policies as it relates to the task being performed, the employee or work group. The result is higher employee productivity, fewer accidents caused by distractions and improved worker safety.

Operating in combination with our beacon device, the TRUCE mobile app can accurately and efficiently determine when an employee is in a defined work zone where a mobile device usage policy applies.

Features:
Automatically applies your mobile policy based on work zones
View insights based on time spent in different managed zones
Contextual communication based on zones

*** Important: TRUCE requires a hardware device. Please visit www.trucesoftware.com for more information

*** Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Horrible

My company forced us to get this app. I went on vacation and this app kept locking me out of my phone. I disabled all the permissions while on vacation and then it just kept dinging my phone. Then I forgot to enable it when I got back, and it kept messing up my CarPlay feature on my personal truck. Even as a passenger, every time you lock your phone, you have to redo the passenger mode. I get that the company doesn’t want us on the phone, but with this app we actually have to use our phone more and more. Also what’s the point of Bluetooth or the feature of hands free cars. This app will make your day even longer if you have to use your phone for work, you have to be completely stopped to take a phone call now, which now means if I’m heading to a location and I have to make a phone call, I have to pull over somewhere (assuming I can find a safe spot to do so) and make that phone call. I do not recommend this to anyone who has a choice.

A drain on your battery and violation of privacy.

Like everybody else, my job forced me to install this cancerous app. It forces you to keep Location Services and Bluetooth on, even when you’re not at work. If you turn either off, the app ‘bricks’ your phone until you turn it back on. If you uninstall the app during non-work hours, they alert your supervisor and you get yelled at. I’ve called customer service about these issues and they were of no help.

Also, if you don’t open Apple Maps through the app, it will lock your phone while you’re driving, forcing you to pick up and interact with your phone while driving, which kind of defeats the purpose of the app.

I pray that lawsuits get filed against this trash app/company and if/when it happens I will do everything I can to contribute to their demise.
