Best in class

Dined on the patio and in the dining room in the past and had perfect experiences. Always well attended to by a refreshingly cheerful & knowledgeable staff. The wine list is thoughtful with smart range & value. Seasonal American-Mediterranean fare including salads, pizzas, fresh seafood - each dish ordered demonstrated casual elegance - the charred Brussels with mushrooms and sesame vinaigrette was superb and a true standout. The teriyaki feature was nicely-seasoned, with grilled chicken and served with blistered vegetables, brown rice & rainbow carrots. From knifework and cooking techniques to peak-of-season produce, this restaurants delivers the winning output of a Manhattan chef de cuisine, with California posturing - don't miss! A clean representation of the finest Scottsdale has to offer.

Omg - the cauliflower!

The cauliflower appetizer is literally crave-able. It’s charred with mint & dates. Sounds weird but trust me you won’t be able to stop thinking about it! The Margherita pizza is the closest to the ones we got in Rome that we’ve found in the US. I think it must be the sauce. Haven’t had anything here we didn’t like. Good thing it’s not too close to our house otherwise we’d go broke eating here all the time.

HATE the New App

I love the restaurant, the food, the dining service and the atmosphere. I eat and carryout from there all the time.

But I hate the new app. First, getting it set up and transferring from the old app and old Rewards was non-intuitive and confusing, and it required interacting with customer service.

Once set up and transferred, the app itself is a letdown from the old experience. In the old app, there were drop down nav menu options to manage your payment methods, view Rewards status & progress, etc. It was easy to apply a reward, and every time you used a stored credit card at TFK, whether for dine-in or an online carryout order, it was obvious you’d gotten credit towards the program. The new app has barely any options to view, manage anything. I’ve eaten at TFK several times since the update - including just this week - and I can’t tell if I even got credit for the meals.

The old app was so much better than a lot of the restaurant loyalty programs and apps that I use a few times, get frustrated with and then give up on. Sadly, now it’s even worse. I may just delete and move on.
