You can't select your speed
As a kid I use to take my 45 and play them at 33 1/3 and vice versa I would take a LP and play it at 45 you can. Speed it up but you can't slow it down. I sure wish I could though. Other than that it a great app. 4 stars because you cant select the speed the record should be played at.
Fun! But with some obvious omissions.
I'd rate this nifty app 3½⭐️ if I could.
This is a cute concept handsomely realized, but it needs a few more things to be perfect.
The most obvious omission is a functional cueing mechanism. (The tonearm should rise when you use the cue lever or hit the Pause button.)
Secondly, there should be the option of playing an album as a single two-sided disc, each with the correct number of visible tracks.
Right now, each track is played as if it were a 33 RPM single. I think the LP format should be used only in an album mode. When playing single tracks, the app should depict them as 45 RPM singles.
The labels the app creates and the way they rotate are neat, but when playing a track, they should include the song title. In album mode, as I'm proposing it, they should show the album title.
At the end of the track or album, the tonearm should rise and return to its resting position, as was standard even on single-play turntables. At minimum, it should cue up; no real table left the arm just sitting in the out groove.
Oh, and one more thing. When launched for the first time, the app should invite you to give it access to your albums. As it is, it took me some fiddling around to figure out why none of my music was in the selection screen.
Despite all that, this is a great start. I hope the devs will consider my suggestions for future upgrades.
Watch it spin 🎶
It's great to see the album you select from your library get placed on the turntable automatically and begin to play and spin. Even better, it's fun to be able to place your hand on the album as it spins and scratch back and forth like a real turntable. You can also change up or down the speed if you desire. you can lift the arm at anytime and place it on its rest or pause by pushing the stop pause button. Works great on iPad mini. I gave it five stars because I haven't had an issue with it and it's a great affordable app. Thanks😎
