A Sweet Kiss of Community
First off, in regards to the last review, the issue is fixed! No problem uploading videos/imagery.
The onboarding process is as easy as a spring breeze blowing through your favorite cotton sarong. The vibes I get are private, intimate, and judgement-free, contrary to IG and other social apps where putting on a show to the world feels expected. There are also zero adds. It feels fresh, liberating, and a place where you can truly be yourself and share your any-day moments with those who you truly care about, while also exploring other communities that exist on a horizon which await you. A sweet kiss of community, a sweet embrace of serenity.
Not entirely a free app
The problem with this app is that it comes across as a rip off. Facebook is entirely free with ads but those ads are what everyone likes; perfume, instruments, vehicles and etc which aren’t annoying. There’s always something new to see and it might be something looking into to purchase. Without those ads, how will we know about those things? Tuvu should add a $2.99 price for the whole app without ads instead of per month. Otherwise the company will lose a lot of people over this. For those of you who are Christians and like Christian based news, The Pour Over news are offering a free one year membership to this app. It’s free to download but as a member of the pour over, it becomes free for a year then it’s $2.99 the next year. Some of the reviewers have brought up some issues with Tuvu. If this company is reading this, please fix the issues and add a $2.99 price for non pour over subscribers and not charge them anymore. For pour subscribers, change the $2.99 a month to free. Otherwise, you’ll lose a lot of Tuvu users.
TUVU’s major flaw, but it’s fixable!
There seems to be no obvious way of uploading photos or videos without taking them in the app. There also seems to be no way of pasting text. Without these features, especially with trying upload the photo or video you want, using this platform effectively is near impossible. I really like the premise that this platform is built on and I hope to support it in the future, but these features are must haves for any social media app.
