Finally!! a social media app that feels like HOME! I was so tired of the toxicity on other platforms, and TUVU has been such a breath of fresh air. The gated community vibe means I actually enjoy scrolling again. I've connected with like-minded people, discovered amazing content, and best of all I can share it with my whole family and friends without worrying about what might pop up. If you're looking for social media that cares about its community, this is it!
I am a Christian and I absolutely love the fact of a tiktok/instagram kind of app that is friendly and Christian based. The only problem I have is the subscription. Yes I do understand that there’s no other way from them to get money, but at the same time, you can just put advertisements in the feed that you can easily scroll past. Fast, easy, and gains you guys the money. And to be completely honest, its for Christians to grow in faith online so if I were running the app. I wouldn’t even want profit, I would just be happy by spreading the word of Jesus. If you read this, then thank you.
I wish apps like this didn’t have to come with a price. Why is it always about money? This has the potential to be a beautiful app with a wholesome community that brings all Christian’s and even those whom are curious about it together. As someone who’s completely deleted all social media.. Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook etc. it would’ve been nice to have a space like this. Please fix this guys. It has so much potential.
Haven’t used the app yet but I can tell I won’t be from what I’m reading about a subscription, it’s ridiculous, the world needs more positive platforms and spaces for Christians and likeminded individuals however why should that come at a price? You have a team, you have the money, the public is so used to being exposed to ads everywhere already, get some sponsorships and ads on your app that are hand picked tailored to be only products we as Christian’s would be actually interested in seeing, do this and don’t harvest data on what ads people click on. The problem with ads on various platforms is they show things that the viewer isn’t particularly interested in therefore becoming an annoyance, include ads for your revenue and make the app free, do the right thing for the lord without holding your hands out.
I downloaded it, it then read, “get 30 days for free”. Yeeeeah… no. I’m not paying for a social media app. I’d love to use it, but not until it’s completely free to use like pretty much every other social media platform. I get it. Maybe there are financing issues. Well, if I start paying for social media apps, we’re gonna’ have financing issues in my house too, and then I can’t afford spaghetti, ya’ll won’t be able to afford to support an app and there we’ll all be; unemployed and spaghetti’less. And that’s just no way to live.
The problem with this app is that it comes across as a rip off. Facebook is entirely free with ads but those ads are what everyone likes; perfume, instruments, vehicles and etc which aren’t annoying. There’s always something new to see and it might be something looking into to purchase. Without those ads, how will we know about those things? Tuvu should add a $2.99 price for the whole app without ads instead of per month. Otherwise the company will lose a lot of people over this. For those of you who are Christians and like Christian based news, The Pour Over news are offering a free one year membership to this app. It’s free to download but as a member of the pour over, it becomes free for a year then it’s $2.99 the next year. Some of the reviewers have brought up some issues with Tuvu. If this company is reading this, please fix the issues and add a $2.99 price for non pour over subscribers and not charge them anymore. For pour subscribers, change the $2.99 a month to free. Otherwise, you’ll lose a lot of Tuvu users.
