Ratings and Reviews
Impressive addition to your computer.
I downloaded and installed this. Now I have ways to control my TV that I didn't have before. Yes, the interface is a little awkward and some have said a little non-Mac like, but the buttons have round edges, so I think Steve Jobs would be proud of at least that much. Some tool tips when you hover over the buttons would be nice, even if that seems a little Microsoft Office-like. It wasn't immediately clear that the button that looks like a delta is the up arrow in an array of four directional buttons, and I was a little reluctant to click it, for fear I was going to cause a change in something unintentionally. Overall, I like it, and I look forward to further refinements to this app.
Amazingly, One That Works!
Brief rant: I rarely buy apps. Usually they’re not very useful, or user friendly, or they want you to pay 7.99 per WEEK just to crop photos or whatever. But in this case, after literally trying off and on for years to find a remote control app at a reasonable price and that could control more than 1 brand of device and more than the most recent model year… I was very surprised by this relatively simple app and didn’t hesitate to throw the well-earned $10 purchase fee at it. Yes, purchase. Maybe he will charge for new features or device support in the future and that’s his prerogative, but for now, I could only be happier with this app if I could customize the device names and maybe the icons (it takes a few seconds to figure out which “bedroom” is the tv or the Roku or the Apple TV, etc), and if the input switcher tab didn’t crash every single time I try to use it (with a LG OLED65C7P).
Indie Developer Doing Awesome Job
While the user interface may be a little clunky looking, it is much better than the LG remote controls, especially the newer ones with the pointer that gets activated using G-Force (accelerometer) by accident when you’re just trying to click the button to select something. Since the click button is the same as the roller button, triggering the motion control is inevitably going to be activated which is a PITA.
This app is great because it automatically syncs with the Apple Watch, which can then be your TV remote. The Apple Watch user interface is perfectly optimized (at least on my new Ultra 2).
Most importantly, I would just like to say that more people should purchase apps from developers like this who have spent so much time and effort to make a quality application, I am a developer myself and find that this developer has done an extraordinary job!
