I’ve had a tv with Roku built in for years and was able to turn the power on and off and adjust volume in the official Roku app. Recently I purchased a TCL tv with Google TV built in and did not like the interface so I bought a Roku ultra to plug in. The physical remote can operate the power and volume but the Roku app does not recognize it as a tv and hides the controls. Many other apps cost money or have ads and don’t support volume and power but this one works flawlessly. Thank you!

Best app out there to remote control for my Roku and Sony TV from my iPhone. Even works on Mac. Better than the Roku app. No annoying adds or subscriptions required. Great job. Keep it up.
