The Texas College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine is a regional component ACOEM, the voice of practicing occupational & environmental medicine physicians.
The Texas College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (TxCOEM) is a regional component of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM), which is the nation’s largest organization representing the voice of the nation’s physicians who practice occupational and environmental medicine.
ACOEM was founded in 1916, and is dedicated to promoting the health of workers through preventive medicine, clinical care, research and education. ACOEM represents more than 4500 physicians and other healthcare professionals specializing in occupational and environmental medicine with over 200 members in the state of Texas.
The main purpose of this app is to:
- Unite and represent the voice of the physicians who practice occupational and environmental medicine.
- Encourage research and training in the field of occupational and environmental medicine
- Promote the health and safety of workers, workplaces and environments
- Educating health professionals and the public, stimulating research, enhancing the quality of practice, guiding workplace and public policy
- Advancing the field of occupational and environmental medicine.
