The TXU iThermostat™ app allows you to control your thermostat from your iPhone® or iPad®. No need to have to go to your actual thermostat again to set your schedule or change the temperature.
Now with location-based controls, you can program settings to start and stop your heating and cooling when you are close to your home or business based on your smartphone’s GPS location. The TXU iThermostat™ app allows you to remotely adjust your thermostat’s settings, or quickly put your entire home or business into energy saving “Away” mode with the tap of a button.

Need to upgrade this thermostat
I’ve had a TXU thermostat for quite sometime and ever since they upgraded to the “ Lux” it’s been nothing but problems for me. You think I’d of learn my lesson by now since this is the 3rd one I’ve had installed. It’s a piece of junk and the app never works in sync with the thermostat TXU needs to upgrade to a Nest or something better. So tired of messing with this piece of junk. I guess I’ll just get my own
IThermostat connection issues
It took me several technicians, a new outside unit blower motor, new air duck system, and a burned unit emergency electrical shut off outside to figure out that they installed the wiring backwards and had it programmed for a totally different type of A/C system. We figured out the upgrade way to save money was to only allow the temperature to stay at 84 degrees and connection losses after changing programs for daily and weekly it would reset to 84 but not in Texas and not this girl. A new Technician helped me take their control out and I don’t use the app anymore.
I have had the TXU wifi thermostats from when they were first offered to me about five years ago. I really liked the system, the controls and graphics.
This update however is a step backwards. I find it hard to use and regard it as a way to lower my control of the system while increasing my energy consumption.
I rate this App as very low (I cannot give a minus star) and I am currently shopping around for other wifi thermostat options so I can have this system removed.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
