FOUR times fewer typos and 100% privacy with the first keyboard made for your iPhone.

Current keyboards are based on the 140-year-old mechanical typewriter layout. Typewise is different. It’s the first keyboard that is specifically designed for smartphones. It’s revolutionary yet easy to use, and after a couple of messages you’ll love it.

A recent study with 37,000 participants showed that on current keyboards 1 out of 5 words contains typos. With Typewise you finally get rid of these ARRGGHH-moments. Thanks to the hexagon layout, keys are 70% larger and much easier to hit. It helps you to make four times fewer typos.

Swipe up to capitalize a letter, swipe left to delete or swipe right to restore. It's as simple as that.

Stop getting annoyed by wrong autocorrections or senseless predictions. Typewise learns what you type and helps you write that perfect sentence.

What you write is personal. That's why the keyboard does NOT require “full access” and none of your typing data is transmitted to the cloud.
To improve tutorial, game and settings in the app, we rely on basic and anonymous usage tracking, which can be turned off completely using the offline mode feature. The keyboard itself is not tracked at all.

Having to switch between different languages is cumbersome. With Typewise you can write in all your languages at once. Choose from 40+ languages and type in the accents you really need. Typewise supports:
- English (United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada)
- Afrikaans
- Albanian
- Basque
- Breton
- Catalan
- Croatian
- Czech
- Danish
- Dutch (Belgium, Netherlands)
- Estonian
- Filipino
- Finnish
- French (France, Canada, Switzerland)
- Galician
- German (Austria, Germany, Switzerland)

- Polish
- Portuguese (Portugal, Brazil)

Wonderful Keyboard that Has Changed my Life.

Long, hard learning curve, but once I was there, I never wanted to go back. My typing speed and accuracy went up enormousely. That said, it is too easy to miss the space buttons and hit a key instead. I think space buttons would work much better on the outside of the keyboard. (If you've tried the keyboard, you'll know what I mean.) Also, please, please include a tab key, which would be much more useful than the achievements icon at the top left. Probably not for everyone, but give it a try.

Update a few years later: this keyboard remains a major advance in usability, constantly improves, and I find it impossible to go back. However, for me it has one major flaw that has never been addressed. The space buttons are far too small and surrounded by others. It is far too easy to hit, say, a question mark, instead of the space button - and autocorrect does not recognize (word)?(word) as an error. So, I spend a lot of time proofing for question marks and other charactors bween words, and manually fixing. Keyboard would work far better for me if space buttons were at the left and right extremes of the keyboard and larger than the other keys.

Fantastic even for us pecking typests

I love this keyboard. It’s the only one I’ve seen that actually is faster than a traditional Keyboard. I hope that continued development refines it further to address issues like auto-punctuation-spacing and word suggestion for spelling correction. As it is, I enjoy it immensely!
Typing error correction is so much more efficient. No more banging on the backspace key, easier access to special characters are wonderful features.
The lifetime payment option is very reasonable and a long awaited, commonsense, welcome option from ForeverPay subscriptions while still offering that option as well.
Great to see innovative thinking all throughout.

Clever idea, but doesn’t work as hoped

I tried this for more than the week the dev said would take to get used to it. Never did. Yes I did the tutorials. Not only that, but I don’t think I should have to pay for suggested words. The Dev responds that they don’t sell ads. I never said they did. But. “Pro features” is silly and feels chintzy on behalf of the devs offering a keyboard. Suggested words are already standard on my phone. I think the best feature is being able to scroll back to erase but then forward to reveal text you want to edit. Otherwise, this wasn’t worth the trouble to continue to attempt to adapt to. The honeycomb layout has too many letters that are oddly placed, resulting in typos that one must correct. Definitely didn’t save time, which was a selling point.

Hi GrizGuy, thanks for your feedback. What about the honeycomb layout did you have difficulties typing with? Did you try the tutorial and in-app game? Unlike other keyboards, Typewise does not collect nor sell your personal data. We also do not show any ads. To improve Typewise further, we offer PRO features through an in-app purchase.
