UltraMusician 4+

I stumbled upon the Ultra Musician App after years of searching for a method of grasping the complex system of music theory in a user friendly manner that would apply to my development on guitar. Prior to finding this app, it was challenging for me to bridge theory and my instrument, but I am finally beginning to connect the dots! UM is fun and easy to navigate (my favorite is the Guided Lessons), and I feel like every time I use it, my understanding is a bit more advanced when I pick up my guitar. I love stealing away from a busy day, putting on my headphones and playing a few rounds; it actually relaxes me, instead of stressing me out like the thought of theory used to. I am confident that as I move forward with these guided lessons, I will gain a solid foundation without having to work hard at it - a dream come true! So far, this app is specifically excellent for ear training, sight reading, music notation and conceptualizing the fretboard/keyboard. I look forward to finding out what else it has in store. It is also a much better use of my time than mindlessly scrolling through my FB Newsfeed. Download this App! You won't regret it.

Once I got my bearings, I was amazed at how much this app had to offer. My main instrument is piano, but I dabbled in some of the guitar lessons as well. I was able to work on some of the usual skills such as reading music, which has always been my weakness. What was very cool is that you could learn to write music as well. Still, the best by far was the guided lessons area. I found that I could start with the basics and slowly work my way up to more challenging lessons.

I love this app. It makes learning theory fun. The short, fun lessons improve your skills quickly within a game play style of reward and advancement. I've learned so much theory so easily. I'm also using it to learn guitar and piano as well. Each of the instrument's lessons are so clear and concise it's easy to remember what you've learned. That's priceless. It makes music fun the way it's suppose to be. Love it!!!
