Unbound lets you manage your photo library the way you want. Instead of locking your photos away inside a private library, your photos live in folders on your computer, accessible from anywhere.

Incredibly Fast

Unbound was designed with speed as a priority. Everything from the initial app launch to scrolling through your thumbnails is incredibly responsive. Access photos whenever you want without having to wait.

Easy Organization

Unbound keeps your photo organization simple. Use albums to group your photos and easily find them later. Instant search puts any album within a few taps of your keyboard.

Save Space

Unbound doesn't create a separate photo library like other photo apps. Instead, Unbound uses your existing file structure to create its albums. That means your photos aren't duplicated and you save space.

Easy & Direct Access

Using the file structure also means that you can edit, copy, delete, and move your photos using the Finder, Photoshop, or any other app. Unbound watches the files and stays perfectly up-to-date.

If you have PREVIEW and FINDER (which everybody does) YOU DO NOT NEED THIS. You can’t export, you can’t save from, you can’t copy from. All you can do is view so this app is absolutely useless if you’re looking for a way to actually organize your photos, divide them up into different locations, send them, etc.
I don’t even understand how this qualifies as an app.

SCAM APP - Problem accessing phone

Bought this app hoping to be able to access iphone photos but it DOES NOT. Tried to click on tech support link. IT IS NON-EXISTENT. So, geniuses, how does one manage their photos with this useless app if you can’t access them to download them??? I thought this was supposed to bypass iTunes, iPhoto. ANYONE SAY REFUND???

Does What it is Designed to Do

I’ve been using Unbound for a couple of weeks now and I’m very pleased with it. The developer’s claims about speed are absolutely true. Unbound is very responsive, loading even my very large photo library in just a few brief moments. Depending on your Internet connection, your mileage may vary.

However, anyone looking to use Unbound to replace iPhoto should be aware that the app is limited because it is meant to be a browsers for Dropbox files, not a full-fledged photo library that introduces gobs of additional meta data in the way that iPhoto does. With Unbround you can no longer sort by people or places, for example. The only sorting mechanism avaialble to you are name and date. You may find this refreshingly simple and straightforward, but I could also see some users finding this limiting and frustrating.

The drawbacks of Unbound are in no way related to the execution of the app’s development. It does was it is designed to do. That said, what it is designed to do is very limited, providing a simpler, yet less rich experience for sorting and browsing photos.
