Excellent service!
I am a newish sneaker collector and very much enjoying using this app to track my collection. I love tracking when I wear my shoes! The best part of the app to me is the authentication check feature. (Paid option) I have authenticated all my sneakers that did not come from a retail store. I found out that two of the shoes I purchased from a particular store did not pass the authentication and was able to show the store the app and they refunded my money.
The customer service is excellent. I have reached out to them on Instagram numerous times and got immediate responses. I was able to get help with authentications and get a picture added for a shoe that wasn’t in the database very quickly!! They also followed up to see if all my questions had been addressed. I would 100% recommend this app!
Innovative Concept
I don't think any app out there is doing what Unboxed is doing. If you've been around the sneaker game long enough, you're familiar with the concept of a "cook group". Essentially, Unboxed has elevated and legitimized that concept with a tangible platform that creates community, while opening doors to facilitate the sneaker hobby. There is a subscription fee to unlock all the benefits, but in my personal experience it has been more than worth it. From drop/restock alerts, to authentication services, it's pretty much a one stop shop for anything you'd need.
A lot of the negative reviews are centered around the cost of the full benefits, but if you want to get these benefits anywhere else, you'll have to pay (and more often than not, a lot more) anyway. This is a very accessible option for the amount of benefits you get. I've personally been able to cop sneakers on drops through their alert system, and I've legit-checked over 10+ pairs in my collection.
I personally recommend the app, it's is well worth it even for the cost!!
Great multipurpose app for sneakerheads!
This is such a great app to keep track of your growing collection. Especially if you have a rotation for different seasons, you can track when you wear them and such which is pretty neat.
Another feature they have is authentication which is really helpful with this market and a bunch of reps floating around. You take pictures of the shoes and boxes and they have their Authenticators check the shoes for you. Note - this is for the paid membership.
Lastly, my FAVORITE feature - BLIND AUCTION TRADING!! They host auctions for grails which you’re able to bid with shoes from your collection as long as they’re new. I’ve been hunting for a pair of the AMM Jordan 3s in my size and they happened to be auctioning my size! The bids are then voted by the public and if you win, you’ll get to trade in those shoes for a grail! They have some crazy heat for auctions so be on the look out for those
