UPDATES TO POWER POINTS: We’re getting ready to launch an exciting new feature later this summer and to help us get ready, we’ve made two big changes:
1) Power Points = Power Coins: Everything works the same, just a tantalizing new name.
2) Earning Adjustments: We made an adjustment to how quickly you earn Power Coins when using Health Kit and Google Fit to track your activity. Users with bands will be totally unaffected.
MAPS AND BADGES: To celebrate getting active this summer, we are adding more map scenes and badges for you to unlock even more RUTF!
THANKS TO YOUR FEEDBACK: Your feedback tells is what’s broken, what works for you and what can be better. Keep the notes coming, major or minor, we roll them into our updates all the time.
Ratings and Reviews
This app is so cute, and such a good idea. I love the idea of getting active and helping people at the same time. I would definitely recommend this app if you are trying to stay active because it definitely motivates me knowing that every step I take is going to help a child in need.
Also, if for whatever reason you think things like this are a scam, you should still get it anyways. It’s completely free, and all you have to do is get active which is helping you in the long run.
So overall definitely such a good app, 10/10 would recommend.
Needs more missions
I think that the folks at UNICEF are doing a great job motivating kids and adults like myself (especially the ones that are kids at heart [like myself]) to go out and get active to help severely malnourished children with their RUTF (Ready to Use Therapeutic Food) packets. It’s a great cause and I thoroughly support it. The little “did-you-knows” about each country whose theme centres each mission are interesting as well. It just doesn’t seem as though they’re thoroughly quality checking the Kid Power app because it often takes more than one try to sync all the steps that I’ve accrued with the KP Band—that and I sometimes still get randomly booted out of the app. More importantly, though—and I think I speak for everyone here when I say this: we need more missions! I want to continue to make my contribution through exercise which I very often do in my profession as a security guard. I’m approaching 200,000 steps and I don’t have a mission to use them in because I’ve completed all 5 of them and am anxiously awaiting more of them to be added.

Hi Some Random Bloke, sorry to hear about the trouble! If you'll email the support team at email@example.com with your username and a brief description of how we can help we'll get you back up and running ASAP.
Great App, one problem
So love the whole idea of this app and the band. I’ve been using it for a while and have come across one issue. The method of transferring steps.
The problem is that sometimes I forget to input steps for a long time, then all of a sudden kid a month’s worth of steps into the app. With the old format it didn’t matter how many steps I inputted at once. Now I have approximately 700,000 (edit: 900,000 :D) steps that I’ve accrued and just don’t have the time to insert in.
It got better with the addition of not having to hold down the button, but with the app constantly pausing on every milestone it’s still very annoying.
My suggestion is to just add a feature that skips everything and load it on its own.
Just to mention again, I totally support the cause and want to help, I just don’t want to sit down for an hour pressing a button to do so

I've forwarded this request to our QA team who will add it to our feature request list--hopefully you'll see your request addressed in a future version of the Kid Power app!
