Wow!

I kept reading all these glowing reviews about this game. The art style seemed intriguing too me and I’ve always been a huge fan of roguelikes. So I figured I could spare the few dollars. This game is fantastic, very unique from any other roguelike I’ve played. The choices you make actually have an impact on your run, not just you as a character. But also the events and things that happen to you throughout the game. The combat is also very unique. Your units fight on their own but are still at your command in terms of what they do and who you put where. Leading to some interesting builds with your party members as some have abilities to use tranq arrows or fire shield. Or perhaps they aren’t a combat specialist and are miners that can get you more ore? Along with some talent trees and trinkets and you got yourself a game you can play many different ways. The art style is minimalistic when you are traveling about. But when you are in combat it changes to become a little more complex to help keep track of everything going on and it works extremely well. You also get permanent unlocks in the form of trinkets you can start the game with. It’s all here, balanced, polished and loads of content. This game is worth more than the $2.99 asking price. These developers deserve your money for the content they have packed into this for that price. Hours and hours of entertainment, give it a chance if you are a fan of roguelikes or rpgs at all and I’ll bet you’ll like it.

Can’t put it down!

Okay, so when I first saw this game through an add I expected some kind of cheap game, but the gameplay and story just drive me to keep playing. I failed so many times before having my first victory through the 10th chapter, but I still can’t stop playing it. It’s addictive to keep playing and to work to get different relics, skills, and other starts. Along with the ranking system!

Anyways this game is great and I really recommend it!

P.S. 15 potion start is my fave because I make a lot of mistakes

Great little game-but punishing times lose

All in all I think the art style and gameplay are wonderfully simple yet captivating.

However my ONE issue is that saving your game does nothing, as the game automatically saves your progress anyway, AND if you die, you must restart from chapter 1, rather than from the level on which you died. And saving the game doesn't help because you can't manually load a save game to go back after dying.

I find it to be incredibly annoying. Was this the original intent? is it supposed to be "let's see how far you can get" kind of game? If so that's fine, I guess. But it isn't made clear.
