I have to say, based on the reviews I thought this was going to be an amazing app. But now that I’ve used it for a few days and have paid full price, I honestly regret getting it. It seems every filter is some kind of basic tint with various levels of fuzzy/blurry/out of focus, so all your images end up looking degraded or lower quality. While each filter is branded with a catchy title like “Vogue,” the photos just end up looking muddy (anything “but” Vogue). Feels like they were really smart with the look and branding of the app and presets, and I can see how that’s appealing (hey, they got me), but the filters just don’t deliver. I’ve tried the app with both personal and pro level images, and if image quality is important to you, you’re better off with photography apps like VSCO. If you’re just casually creating content and don’t mind everything being a bit blurry, you might enjoy the looks. For me, I don’t see how this app is going to be useful, so I won’t be renewing.

I wish I trusted my intuition with this app but I was excited for the Ai Barbie feature. I paid to get 50 pictures b/c I figured there would only be a handful that turn out well. I got 3 that looked somewhat like me, there rest were white or super light skinned. Granted my skin light/medium brown, but these looked nothing like me at all. They all look like a regular Barbie doll, no actual distinction or individuality to any of them 🙄My intuition told me that they were just hopping on the Barbie trend and that I wouldn’t really be turned into Barbie. I feel like if I’m giving you 10-20 pictures of a black or brown woman, the photos should represent that….I feel like this app rushed to get with the hype and therefore fell flat, at least for me 🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

I’ve been searching for a photo editing app that isn’t VSCO and allows for a lot of editing features for free. Though I know it takes a lot of money to make, upkeep, and run an app, I feel like this particular one asks for too much, and then it only allows for ONE photo to be edited otherwise you have to pay for the premium. I understand that developers also want to make a living for the work they’ve put into the app but that alone makes me want to delete it. Only one photo per day? Seems a little ridiculous to me!

I’ve had this Uplens subscription for a few months now and for the most part I like it. The UX is beautiful and it’s really easy to adjust the settings/filters, however I don't find myself opening this app as frequently as I hoped. Would I renew it for another year? …. I’m not sure yet because I feel like Prequel has all these same features / filters and I pay for that too. Guess we’ll see once this year’s subscription is close to expiring.

If you’re going to charge money on top of the subscription for a “Barbie” version of a person at least make it so that Ai can make the Barbie features similar to the model. I uploaded 20 pictures and got a generic Barbie. Still saved some as I spent money on it, but it was a waste. I might as well just go to target and try to find a brown Barbie and it will look more like me than the AI results I got. I wish I could upload pictures but I’m unable (it doesn’t give me the option). A scam if you ask me. I’m not going to try again to spend another 3 dollars just to see 25 pictures of generic Barbies

This is the best photo editing app that I’ve ever had. I pay monthly and I’ve never had any issues with this app at all. I’m not sure why there’s so many other people having issues. Anyway, it’s great Also Dev’s can we possibly keep the spooky presets for good! I’m obsessed and have been using them so much. 😭😭 I have to have them forever !!
