Update#1: It’s getting better with each release and has reached the point where I am starting to move items over from 1Password. I wish there was closer parity to the features in 1Password but I hope the developer is paying attention and keeps improving the application. Original: There is (apparently) is no way to contact developer as the Help menu is empty and About has not contact information, not even a website or email address There are lots of little things that could be improved but no way to pass along to developer other than here in a review. So… while this app has potential, it needs a lot of more polish in data entry. Resizable windows for data entry, the ability to delete an added field easily, identity address field should be multiline filed, full name in identity should be first, middle and last, etc… etc… so many things that need improvement to be able to move from another app like 1Password) before committing to this app. The Apple security is a plus (over letting a 3rd party handle security) but the data entry should be more Apple-like. I’ll keep watching and hoping it comes along more before I’m ready to move to it.Contacting the developer directly to pass along problems and suggestions would be most welcome.

If you’ve switched to Apple Passwords like so many others, this app is an essential compliment to it, especially if you were used to full-featured systems like 1Password. It feels very native. Honestly, Apple should just buy this guy out or hire him and integrate this into the Passwords app. Bewildering that Apple would even come to market without such features in the first place, but I’m glad this developer stepped in to fill the gap. There’s still a few features that need polishing, but releases have been steady and the app has improved tremendously since I first found it. Pricing is very reasonable as well. I do wish I could change the icons, either by emoji/icon picker or uploading my own for quick visibility while keeping category colors as item backgrounds or a highlight bar. Also, adding custom fields is nice and all, but saving them for reuse and filtering would be even better. Lastly, I have several entries that have multiple license keys attached to them. It’d be nice to see some kind of sub-item formatting for them. Keep up the great work dev!

If you’ve decided to use Apple’s Password app for your secure logins, then you know that it’s got a limited set of features. Well, Access provides those missing features/types in a near flawless app. The interface, the features and settings, the customization…all are done to make for a must-have complimentary solution to Passwords. With the latest version, it has developed into a robust and stable security program. It even has helpful features like as always-on menu applet and Apple Watch integration.It just feels like an Apple app…or at least what Passswords should be! For 1Password users, this is the missing link to those features and settings you are missing with Apple’s free app.

App seems promising and the reviews are great. Unfortunately I found a major bug about 30 seconds into it that crashes the app completely if you do the following: Open Settings > General, Toggle on Lock Uplock, Require Touch ID, select any option other than Only on Launch, Toggle on Show in Menu Bar and Keep in Menu Bar, Close the Settings window and main window, Click the menu bar icon and click the restore main window button… CRASH! Apart from it being annoying it also makes the app insecure. There is some sort of disconnect with the menu bar functionality. I am giving it 2 stars for now and have sent in a bug report via email. Let’s see if that gets fixed. I find it also frustrating that there isn’t a place other than email to send in feedback. Also there’s no Help under the Help menu. "Help isn’t available for Uplock.” isn’t acceptable. The app feels half-baked because of these issues.

So it’s a secure text app that has premade forms. It’s a thing that’s missing from the Passwords app. It’s attractive and presumably well made. Beyond that, no functionality. They say it does have autofill, and I have that turned on, but it has not offered to autofill anything for me. Sorry, but I’m not putting these nice folks on my personal payroll for a simple utility that just stores text. I’m also not paying $50 for a one-time license. It would need to have some useful functionality to justify that cost. I’m okay using the free five record limit until Apple Sherlocks it, or until I catch the one-time license at half off. It’s a sweet little app, but it ought to be a no-brainer cost.

The app syncs entirely through iCloud and they do not host their own servers. Everything is either locally on-device or on iCloud. So why should I need to pay monthly for this? I would gladly pay a small one-time fee (not $50, that's insane) but there is no technical need to have this be a continual subscription.Since there is no technical need to have this be a subscription, it appears to violate 3.1.2(a) "Permissible uses" of Apple's App Review Guidelines.According to Apple, "examples of appropriate subscriptions include: new game levels; episodic content; multiplayer support; apps that offer consistent, substantive updates; access to large collections of, or continually updated, media content; software as a service (“SAAS”); and cloud support."

I don’t write reviews often. Once Apple came out with Passwords, I was happy to leave 1pw and their subscription behind. While I enjoyed the app, it was too complex with my family who are way less tech savvy. This app is a great companion to the new Passwords app by Apple. While I wish all of this functionality was included in the Passwords app, I am very happy to support these developers and their work to provide a compatible solution. This is what I have been looking for instead of just capturing detailed in a locked note. The app is simple, straightforward, and looks like a native app. Overall I have already become a fan in just a few hours and even paid for the app to support the devs. Suggestions: I would love additional types like social security numbers or drive / Network details those aren’t deal breakers. It would be great to be able to share records or the entire app with those in my family. That combined with Passwords app would be awesome. Right nowI can’t share records so it’s locked just to my phone.

This app is a personal database for storing household and personal data. This app needs work though. First it will not remember the window size on closing, so I have to resize it everytime I open it. Getting this right is like programming 101. In the Insurance section, by default, there is no option for Insurance Company, which is necessary. At least I can add a custom field, but I have to do this every entry, and it doesn’t seem to save any labels I’ve added here, so I have to type these in everytime. There’s a start date, with date picker, but then the end date I have to type in the date and it doesn’t even attempt to match the formatting of the start date field. And the Driver’s License section is missing a crucial field too — state of issue.

Like many, I’ve moved from a 3rd party password manager to the Apple Passwords app because of its perfect integration into the Apple ecosystem (Apple APIs simply won’t let this happen with other password managers). But, in doing so I’ve had to learn to live with fewer features in my password manager, and this is why I made the lifetime purchase of Access. It’s a potentially great app that fills in the holes left in the Apple Passwords app, but from a programming perspective, it’s still missing a few features. However, I’m confident the developer will eventually fine tune this app to be the perfect companion app for the Apple Passwords app.

Access is the app that has been missing for such a long time. It eliminates the need for a myriad of locked notes and photo albums and stores all those important documents safely and securely. There are a few little nuances such as the “Issued On” field not being a date picker and a non persistent side bar, but these are small and don’t impact the overall experience. I don’t normally go for a subscription model but this app has so much potential I’m excited for its future development and have gone all in. It’s a great app that can only get better over time.
