Fascinating and fun.

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone down the rabbit hole of history as I’ve walked around Brooklyn and Manhattan. When I’m out with my teenaged son and he sees me take my phone out, he just rolls his eyes and accepts that I might be a while. So many great photos and captions. I love being able to take a current photo and combine them with the vintage shots in the app. And, I’ve sent in a few small historical corrections over the years, and the team is very responsive and has updated the info surprisingly quickly. Just a terrific resource about NYC’s past, to get your imagination spinning.

The best companion in New York City

I’ve lived here 30 years Lived in a number of apartments moved from Manhattan to Brooklyn and watched all the changes, as they say the only thing that doesn’t change in New York City are people talking about all the changes! I love knowing the little stories that surround this great city it is the true foundation of this place we share. And I truly believe that if we know our past and helps us build our future... download the app put on the alerts pause for a moment and get excited about the place you live every day there’s a new story

Love this APP!!!!!

I’ve always loved seeing NYC in old films and comparing places as I know them now to what they were like when the film was made. That only takes you back as far as 1948 though. This app is such a great way to learn about this city I love so much because I can see things as far back as the 1800s!! It’s also fun to explore on my own using the app and then impress people with my vast knowledge of the city.

If you love NYC and enjoy learning about its history (or showing off to others), then you gotta get this app!!
