Editors’ Notes

Thwart your company’s competition with seedy henchmen and crooked cosplayers in this stylishly satirical mashup that’s part deck builder, part board game.

Fun but needs some tweaking

I was playing a game had to close it to get back to work and when I opened it later it asked to confirm surrender. Not my intention. Also when I beat year one my “piggy bank”/lives say two but really it’s zero. Swiping through deck to trade cards is difficult. To slide left or right to see the whole deck I inadvertently select a card that I don’t want to trade. Either have a “safe zone” where I can swipe or have make it smart to not select a card when I swipe but only when I press. Or have a check box… I like the idea it is pretty fun but I am sad that my awesome deck that I had surrendered before I could finish playing.

Seems like the trade thing just got fixed!

It’s got potential

I think the game is pretty fun and interesting, I have a few suggestions for improvements though.

1: the 10$ price tag for the full game is pretty steep and there’s no clarification of what buying the full means (i.e what changes and what am I unlocking by buying it)

2: the tutorial is lacking in several areas and it doesn’t explain much about progression past the first few levels. Am I aiming for something or dying in year 3 and just repeating infinitely?

3: trading cards is a nightmare, you can’t swipe through the deck without selecting half a dozen cards, then on the way back to deselect you are selecting another 4 cards. This is mitigated by the tiny scroll bar (I’m on a 10.9” iPad Air and it’s still tough to not select cards while using the scroll wheel

4: in year 2 you start with 2 lives (even when you get bonus lives from year one) and they are bugged, if you die in year 2 you will just die. No second chances, do not pass go, do not collect 200$

All in all it’s a promising game if given some more work and hopefully reducing the price to something a little more standard for mobile games
