Description

User Logger sits in the menubar, not in the Dock.

Interactions that are logged include:
• When a user wakens the screen, the internal camera will take a photograph and store it.
• When any application is launched or terminated, it is added to the log
• When an external disk is mounted or unmounted, it is added to the log
• If the user wants to know when particular folders have been opened, a simple AppleScript may be attached to those folders, and these will trigger a log entry.
• Provides a table showing all the applications currently running.

Nick Nameo ,

It does what it says on the box

Ok, Ive been looking everywhere for an app that simply tells me if anyone logged into my Mac when I was away. Its surprisingly hard to find. There are thousands of intrusive apps that are designed to record every single little thing done on the computer, with screen shots of every single mouse click. I dont need or want any of that.

I mean, I dont want to record every single thing I do on my computer, I just want to be flagged when logins take place. This App is perfect. It lets me know if my computer has been used without sacrificing my personal privacy.

It Literally,
Lets me know if a USB drive is plugged in.
If anyone wakes up the screen to log into the Mac.
It gives me a picture of the person.
And it lets me know what apps were launched.

In my opinion, its a great mix, of extra security without spying on myself.

EDIT:
The notes and suggestions I made on this exact same review were fixed in the update. I like this Guy! He added my emailed suggestion of the ability to clean up / delete older log files, and he added my suggestion here to give the ability to click for a larger view of the log in pictures. Nice to see a developer thats open to good advice.
