What’s New

Version 1.200.5483

Thanks all for downloading Vactics and providing your feedback. I'll keep working to improve the game with updates such as this one. This update fixes some bugs I've noticed in the game and introduces a few balance changes to ease the difficulty of the game a bit as well.

Gameplay Changes:
• Reduced the cooldown for the following mech types so that they can be used more often: Battery Drone, Defender, Flame Thrower, Grenade, Laser Wall, Rapid Move & Sweeper.

Bugfixes:
• Fixed bug in the final battle where additional waves of Vactics spawn before the player has entered the level
• Fixed case where drones with range increase modifiers would prevent movement based attacks from triggering.
• Fix bug that would cause game to soft lock if the player was killed on a turn when a decoy was active.
• Fixed melee enemy logic so that they correctly attack tiles with decoy's on them.

Thanks!

Hodhoer ,

Needs an option to confirm selection.

Accidental taps while trying to look at an enemy has really been frustrating. Game needs an option to ask to confirm before just slamming me down into a spot/moving me. Also the game just drops ya in for the most part which is an annoying game trend. Looks nice and has a vibe of Hoplite and Into the Breach. Will see if this sticks but it just seems like there is a ton to do with not much explanation on where to go.

Great game but

I love this game and it’s great mechanics, but sometimes I will be adjacent to a Vactic but I won’t hit it. It’s really annoying because I have lost a few times because of it, but besides that it’s an amazing game👍🏻

Developer Response ,

Thanks for the kind words 🎉

If I could guess in the above cases is that you are adjacent to the Vactic at the end of the move but you weren’t at the start of the move. You need both to be true for that attack to happen. You can view all the tutorial / mech training videos for the two attack types in the game progress menu option too. I hope that helps you out 🤞

To much pushing of the paid version

I would have probably eventually paid for the pro version. Just got tired of trying to learn the game (which they don’t really help you) while being hounded every 5 minutes to buy buy buy the pro. So ….

Developer Response ,

Hi, thanks for playing my game.

I’m sorry that the prompts for purchase are a bit annoying for you. My objective was to allow people to always keep playing the free version without halting everything once they had played a certain amount or relying on ads that interrupt the experience. I thought that showing what is available in the full version was a good way of people seeing what it can offer them if they are enjoying playing things.

I’m only a solo developer and would like to try make it less annoying for people. If you have more detailed feedback I’d love to hear it. You can email any thoughts to: getintouch@vacticsgame.com

Cheers,
Gerard
