Good App but Needs MAJOR Improvements
I’m a new user of the Vanco Mobile App and it’s a very nice app with different elements that aren’t in the average Giving App.
However, the app takes FOREVER to find your organization. It may not even find your organization even though it’s set up with Vanco. Giving also is tedious because, you can only give/donate to one fund at a time, whereas with a company like Givelify, you can give to multiple funds at once. No one wants to spend 30 minutes going back and forth to give or donate to multiple funds when they can do it all at one time with other giving apps, I mean it is 2021 after all. But lastly, when searching for a fund all I see is “General Fund” which isn’t even a fund or a tile because I created the giving tiles for Vanco Mobile; “General Fund” is not one of them. This has been going on for a couple weeks now and STILL has not been fixed.
As I stated earlier it is a good app that can really help an organization communicate, fellowship, and partner with their community and congregation especially in Today’s times. It just need some slight tweaking, to really beat the competition.
This new Vanco app is really clunky. The first and worst thing is that every time you want to use the app you have to search for your church. That’s just dumb. Once you’ve done it, it should be automatic in perpetuity. The UI is weird. There’s little information on the Home Screen other than a Google Map which is totally unnecessary. When I used the menu to go to my profile, when I tried to return to the home page it couldn’t be found. I had to logout and then login again. Please go back to Give+. It was basic but it worked. This new thing is useless.
This app needs work
While this app appears to have some helpful features, they don’t work well or at all. I can’t see my scheduled transactions or transaction history. This is important to me because I’m being charged twice each week for my church gift. I suspect this is because the set-up is cumbersome and I thought it didn’t go through the first time (received no confirmation), so I entered my gift a second time. The support function simply directs me to our church admin who doesn’t have any more information than I do. This app roll-out was rushed out - giving just 30 days notice to churches regarding the change. It seems Vanco should have slowed down and thoroughly tested it before releasing it. Disappointing & potentially hurtful to church congregations if people don’t trust this app.
