A Magyar Turisztikai Ügynökség ingyenesen biztosítja a VENDÉGEM Szállás szálláshelykezelő mobilalkalmazást a legfeljebb 8 szobával és 16 férőhellyel rendelkező szálláshelyek részére, amelyet a Nemzeti Turisztikai Adatszolgáltató Központba (NTAK) regisztrálnak. A mobilalkalmazásban a szálláshely teljeskörű adminisztrációja elvégezhető, minden foglalás előre rögzíthető, a vendégek szobaszámláihoz a szállásdíjon kívüli egyéb költések is feljegyezhetőek. A mobilalkalmazásban okmányolvasó modul is található, amivel a szállásadók és a vendégek is be tudják olvasni az okmányok adatait, és az NTAK adatszolgáltatást is automatikusan teljesíti.

How secure is this app?

It requires access to your camera to take a photo of your passport. How is this data handled and stored? We are staying in Hungary at a AirBnB and our guest is requiring us to upload our passports through this app. However, who actually makes this app and how is sensitive personal information being transmitted and stored? Apple states this app does not collect personal information. In fact it does just the opposite without telling you where and how it’s going to be used.

The accommodation provider is obliged by the amendment to Act CLVI of 2016 on State Functions Pertaining to the Development of Tourism Regions to scan the data on the guest's photo identification document with a document reader upon arrival. The guest is obliged to present his/her document to the accommodation provider in accordance with Article 34 (1) of Government Decree 414/2015 (23.XII.). For further information on the scope of the data stored, access to the data, data processing and legislation, please visit https://vizainfo.hu/en/.

Why does this necessitate an app

Just let us use a damned webpage instead of adding more app clutter to our phones. Also it’s intrusive to ask for all this information, if the owner of the property we stay at wants it for security reasons okay, but it’s none of your business absent cause. (Property owners are perfectly capable of familiarizing themselves w GDPR)

Worked but hard to use

Difficult to enter US persons data. US driver license not supported. US passport failed to scan back page (was able to glitch app to skip scanning back page as this info is already present on front main page)
