Beautifully Dark with Surprising Depth

This development studio never fails to create unique masterpieces. I cannot emphasize enough how underrated this studio’s games are. On the surface when you first begin, it’s an easy to pick up game with a fascinating story and visuals. But the more you play, as you learn more mechanics, the absurd depth of the mechanics, skill trees, loot variety, etc begins to reveal itself… but this depth is paced in a way that it’s never overwhelming to the player. It just continuously provides moments of disbelief as to how much thought, intention, and creativity went into development - as well as moments of excitement in realizing how much freedom you have and how much there is to discover.

This is the second game I’ve played from this studio, after spending nearly 8 months obsessively playing the first. What’s even crazier is, I’m generally a competitive FPS player on PC. I wouldn’t consider myself generally a part of the demographic for a title like this, especially not to spend as much time on a mobile game. But the games this studio releases are so consistently unique and incredible that I find myself absorbed in the worlds they create.

If I could give this 6 stars, I would, as well as any other title released by this studio. If you enjoy this game and you’re looking for another fantastic world to experience, you HAVE to check out their other games as well, because this studio is consistently great.

Best RPG from this group so far

I played through both of their earlier games and found them OK but too limited, not offering enough variety in the games or choices for the player to make them really interesting. So although I downloaded this game last year, I wasn’t all that interested in playing it at first. Tried again this week and was much more impressed, though I’m still only halfway through the game so can’t comment on how it ends. I think this is a major improvement over the others, particularly in the subquests where there is a lot of humorous dialogue and often ways of solving problems without necessarily having to fight. This makes it more fun to play.

There are a few issues that might bother some people, like the crude language (which you can ignore) and the often unbalanced combat, but if your party is wiped out you get revived without even having to watch an ad. Best strategy seems to be to earn enough from random encounters and subquests to buy top quality equipment in the shops. Then you can try again with more success. Using gems to open a chest after defeating an enemy seems pretty pointless (the one I tried had mediocre equipment), unless of course you want to spend money to support the devs (a worthy goal), because gems aren’t very easy to find in the game itself.

We’re so glad you gave it another shot and enjoyed the humorous subquests! Your thoughts on the combat and gem system are really helpful. It’s great to hear you’re finding the game fun overall—happy adventuring! If you have more feedback, feel free to reach out anytime!

An Amazing, but empty-ish Game.

To go right off the bat here, I completely adore this game. It is completely unique compared to most other “RPG-strategy” type games. It’s like playing an Dungeons&Dragons game but it’s more simple and with a comedic element to it. The only problems I could really think of from this game is sometimes the brutal difficulty when facing an enemy that would have, let’s say, 5,000 health points when your party’s leader probably only has 2,000 with everyone lower then that.

But the other problem I have is how quickly the game can end. I’ve basically done all quests that there is to do everywhere, I’ve found a few secrets including that Developer Cult Ring(nice touch by the way) and I’m about to fight the Immemorial. Other then that I have nothing else to do. I hope that the next update soon will have a hefty expansion of gameplay for us, like the Bridge or another main Questline. All in all this game deserves 5 stars in my book all the way.

We’re so glad you adore the game and appreciate your unique take on it! It's great to hear you enjoyed the humor and found the Developer Cult Ring. We hear your concerns about difficulty and content, and your feedback is valuable—feel free to reach out if you encounter any issues or need assistance!
