Verify App is a vote verification application that allows voters using Comitia’s online voting platform to validate if their vote intentions were correctly stored in the digital ballot box. Once logged in the app, the voter can read the QR code he/she received right after voting, which is used locally by the app to decrypt and display the content of the vote without compromising voter’s privacy. In the case that the vote cast does not correspond to the voter’s intent, the mobile application will inform the voter on how to proceed. The verification process must combine two devices: the device using the Comitia Verify App, and a device displaying the QR code – typically, the voting device.
