Really like this app, but please bring back the ability to swipe back from and article to the main feed. Now, whenever I read an article I am taken back to the top of the feed, even if I was previously somewhere down the bottom of the feed.

I love this app! It’s a rare gem. Reading news has all of a sudden become really interesting! I noticed over the years that I was getting more and more bored with reading the news. I thought it was still very important to stay informed about what’s going on in the world, so I tried everything from subscribing to different media outlets to tinkering with my social media feed to be able to discover interesting articles, but nothing worked. Before finding this gem, most of the news I was getting was on topics that made me yawn, or poorly written articles recounting in painful detail twitter wars that could have been summarized in two sentences. And then the website version of this app came along and I was hooked. Finally it was very easy to access deep and well-written analyses about really thought-provoking topics sourced from outlets from around the world providing a global perspective. I really loved that by experimenting with the settings (especially the establishment stance slider) I was able to find a newsfeed that was really engaging to me, and also by playing around with the political stance slider I could become aware of the kind of news people I disagree with consume. I’ve recommended it to my entire family. This app is a must try!

There is really no reason to use any other news source instead of Improve the News. The headlines are aggregated and things I care about are categorized cleanly. As you know, the revolution comes with the sliders. You can see what the other viewpoints are on the breaking news stories and easily browse through different opinions to break your filter bubble. It’s been a long year with news media becoming even more partizan and dividing us. Improve the News offers a fantastic tool to break out of your filter bubble.

This app is a critical step in helping the average person get a balanced presentation of the news they can control. The “preselected” propaganda that is fed to people by the corporate media and government bureaucracy is a existential threat to our nation. With this app one can set a balanced delivery of news to consume information that would otherwise not be know. Big tech wants to keep us in their filter bubble and this app is like “emancipation of information”! Max and his team have given our democracy a great gift! It’s easy to use and extremely responsive.
