Vet Set Go, the first and only community dedicated to aspiring veterinarians, has created the Vet Volunteer app to alleviate the stress of finding shadowing and volunteer opportunities in your area. This app also keeps a daily record of the hospitals you’ve worked at, the hours you’ve put in, the animal species you’ve worked with and the experiences you have had — all in a convenient app.

Once you find an experience you’re interested in, detailed information will appear including the hospital name, the location, photographs and the contact information.

Great for logging hours and finding new places to get more!
This app is a wonderful tool for students looking to go into veterinary medicine! As a current pre-vet student who just applied to vet school and had to log all my hours, this app is a great way to do that. I had logged all my hours on my notes app before, but this app makes that process so much easier. When it comes time to apply for vet school, you have to log all your vet, animal, and other hours while describing what you did. This app allows you to easily document each experience along with a description of what you did each time. It’s also great for finding new opportunities to get hours! In the explore tab, you can search places other people on the app have earned hours which is a helpful thing for those looking for a place to start.
It’s a wonderful app for future vet students
I really love the idea of this app and it’s actually wonderful for keeping track of all of the required hours needed to apply to vet school. I really wish I had this before I applied, it would’ve made life a whole lot easier. Only reason I would give it 4 stars is because every time I tried to add a new location, it would not let me add pictures which was the only thing keeping me from saving the location and adding my experience. I tried closing out of the app and reattempting but it did not work so I nave up. I feel that is an easy fix (it’s just a bug) and overall this app is amazing so it definitely deserves 5 stars.
Goodbye to Handwritten Animal/Vet Experience
Say goodbye to your “Animal/Vet Experience” handwritten notebook for good because this app is awesome! You are able to add in ANY location, detail the specific animals you worked with, tasks that you performed, & keep tract of exactly how many hours you did. I love that shows the total amount of hours you have accumulated and what specific type of experience they were from. This makes it extremely easy to add to your VMCAS application when ready to apply to vet schools. As a bonus, there is an opportunities section that shows vet camps and different events that could be attended in the future to expand your knowledge about veterinarian medicine. Very impressed with this app.
