Description
VEX via allows you to follow the progress and results of VEX Robotics Competition, VEX U, and VEX IQ Challenge events. Team lists, match schedules, match results, rankings, and skills challenge results are easy to access and can be sorted by event or by team. Results are automatically downloaded as the events unfold, and you can also register to receive instant score alerts for your favorite teams. Instant score alerts use the Push Notification service, allowing you to receive team alerts even when VEX via is not running.

Just OK. No notifications
App is OK, just OK. When it works it works well, but at many tournaments there are zero updates to scores. Probably not the app…but frustrating nonetheless.
Biggest issue is that iOS version has no notifications. As others have said it does not even ask, nor does it show up in list of apps that have notifications, even though IN the app, they offer to favorite and add notifications when a result is posted…just doesn’t work. App developer forgot to actually use the notification API.
Very Useful
This app is extremely useful. It organizes rankings, overall schedules, and team-specific schedules fairly intuitively, making it easy to check upcoming matches and scores in the chaos of a competition.
My only complaint is that it doesn't seem to be optimized for all specs. I experience infrequent crashes and similarly infrequent periods of non-responsiveness. Also, when no favorites are saved you are instructed to create a favorite by tapping the heart icon in the top right of an event or team page, but the icon you need to tap is actually a star.
Ok app. No notifications
It’s an okay app. You get what you pay for. If only notifications worked. The app doesn’t even ask for the ability to show notifications, nor does it show up in the list of apps that can.
