Choose a good photo and it works great!
I tried on a couple different photos and wasn't happy with the results but then I did one of a photo of a mountain with a beautiful sky behind it and it worked flawlessly!!! 2 things needed : higher video resolution output with a sharpen tool of some sort during the editing process, and please let me pay you a dollar to get rid of the watermark!!!! Take my money please!
A decent start, but very limiting
The idea has been a long time coming, and this app *tries* to deliver, but falls short in so many ways.
Good: Algorithms replace masked backgrounds decently.
Bad: “Smart” brushes get masking wrong almost 100% of the time, even on sharply contrasted objects. Almost no brush control along the edges of the image, so masking is infuriating when trying to mask part of an edge without relying on a fail by the smart brush. Only able to mask one part of the image ... a layer effect is desperately needed for multiple layer masking ability. Why not make it possible to import multiple images as png layers, and manipulate those layers individually ? It would make the parallax effect flawless and give complete control to the serious user who wants to perfect a layer on a desktop application (like PS). And you know by now that no one likes the watermark. Lastly: don’t limit the image to square view please.
Great App- Improve Working Details
With 3D photography a given for iPhone 7 users, the need for older phones (who can create some stereoscopic magic with “burst” mode?) and even older photos to emulate the holographic effect is increasing.
This parallax app is the most intuitive one I’ve come across so far.
It could use an undo/redo feature and the removal of the “Reset” button on the main screen. The frustration of losing a ton of work because of a finger brushing a tenth of a millimeter too far is enough to make me not begin a project.
But because I haven’t yet completed a truly precise result (due to that #*+## reset thing) I can’t give it the rating I think it deserves.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
