Vino Volo 17+

Stopped into the Pittsburgh airport location to enjoy my pre-flight snack. The Burrata bowl was tasty and just the right companion for the Canvasback Cabernet. My server, Amber, was professional, knowledgeable, had excellent suggestions for wines and accompaniments.

As always a great experience at Vino Volo Pittsburgh. Worth the cost --which is not that much more than the fast food just around the corner-- with a relaxing atmosphere and real glass to enjoy your wine! Not to be passed by.

Few things can sour a good glass of wine like bad service. The delightful idea of enjoying a glass of wine before boarding my flight became suddenly anticlimactic when met with such service. The waiter at this St. Louis location passed by me three times without uttering a word to me though he volunteered himself to other guests. When I did flag him down as though hailing a taxi, I was seriously considering the purchase of a bottle that I could enjoy on my plane and asked for a taste of Malbec. Ostensibly, he asked another wait staff member to take care of it because a full glass was brought to me instead by such. I explained that I had asked for a taste but there was a express disinterest though she offered to take it back. Feeling a bit disenchanted I decided to keep the glass and forgo the bottle. My original waiter never again spoke to me (though I watched as he repeatedly availed himself to other female guests) let alone make another attempt to sell me the bottle. I made every acceptable effort to gain his attention so I could pay my bill but resolved to ask another waiter to bring me my bill. This is simply the nutshell version of my disappointment.

We always make a bit of extra time to enjoy a glass of wine and something delicious before we fly. An added delight to our trips. Super thrilled the Jacksonville airport is ready to re-open in the new location! Great people here!
