Easy Setup of Shades: Follow the easy instructions to control a single motorized shade or a whole houseful-up to 30 per gateway device*-right from a phone or tablet. Set a scene for each room, raising and lowering shades at set times.

Customize Your Control: Program shades to open and close at specific times, and override the set times for complete control.

Smart Home Integration: Because we use a gateway device to pair shades with the app, shades can be joined with in-home smart devices, like Alexa and Google Home.

Whole Family Life Hack: Download the app to each family member's mobile device to connect everyone to the shades-and assign different levels of permission to the kids.

Great tech support

The app worked for manual operation but routines wouldn’t work for automatic operation. I sent an email describing the situation on Friday, got a response on Monday, and the blinds were operating properly on Wednesday. The tech (Dan) was courteous, responsive, and very capable. The app itself gets three stars, the tech support gets five stars.

Not consistent

Very disappointed in the tech for the Graber roller shades. I have neighbors that have a different brand and their app is slick and works consistently amazing. When I found out about the gateway I was so excited to have something similar. This is far from that. My app hardly connects to the gateway. I regularly have to unplug it and plug it back in. At least once a day I have to climb on furniture to hit the roller shade button to get the shade either up or down because it won’t connect to the gateway or I just can’t log into the app. We have windows 20 ft up and those are either up or down when they are not supposed to be or half way because it just randomly stops. The windows are too high to be having to deal with a ladder everyday to get them in the position I want.

For how “amazing” graber roller shades are the tech is about 10 years behind. Super disappointed!

I have not recommended to people whom have asked about my experience. Here is the current status:

You cannot adjust blinds with % - if you want to have a routine that sets all shades to 50% - it is impossible. Currently you interact with the setting with a window blind UI but it doesn’t tell you the percent. Recommended fix: add a % text input box.

The hub continually disconnects. It seems fairly random. Unplugging and replugging in seems to fix it. But this happens often. There is no debug feature to get insight into communication on the app.

Alexa skill integration broke. You can read all about this on the Alexa Skill review. Appears they have some server-side problems. People can’t login. I can’t login. So can’t automate the way everything else is automated in my house.

The only way to contact the developers is it your signed out. Then you click a button to get email. Somehow the app is saying I don’t have a mail program setup on iOS (I use gmail). It’s a mobile app; use a form :-)
