Virtual Crokinole 4+

This game would be awesome with a few improvements!

My friends and I play a lot of Crokinole in real life so we are really enjoying this game. The major flaws in game play are the way the disc picks up speed after hitting a post like it was a pinball machine! The distance gauge gets weird as well when you tilt the board. The new online opponent feature could be really cool if you could sign in and find your buddy! I played my friend the other night but that will become impossible as the game gets more popular. 5 stars and a bunch of new users if you can work on these issues!

Glad you’re liking the game so far-the board and pin physics will be updated next with a few tweaks, online play was the priority this time. Wanted to keep things simple this first time with online but we will look to add private game features as it gets more popular and we can scale quite easily for that. Thanks!

Great, but needs a bit of tweaking.

So far I have had a lot of fun with the game. I love Crokinole and it’s nice to play it without being home on my board. That said, sometimes the physics give me a bit of trouble. I have had a few shots where 90% of my disc is over the center hole but it doesn’t go in or shots where the bounces are just crazy. I still have a lot of fun with it and I will definitely update my review if those issues get fixed. In its current state, the app is a fun, sometimes frustrating, experience that I will keep using.

Thanks! Glad you’ve generally enjoyed it. I did notice you’re on version 1.2 and we put out an update since then that fixes a few bugs, although the physics aspects you’ve mentioned haven’t been altered much. Will look into different approaches for the centre hole-it’s been designed to be quite unforgiving to pot discs into it but agree it looks odd if it’s mostly covered.

Why am I always always always going first in every round? I literally never get last shot.
