Happy Holidays from the LDW Team!
The full, original version of Virtual Families from your desktop PC or Mac is now here on the iPad!
Note from the developer: Version 1.1.1 is the latest of several significant updates to Virtual Families that have greatly improved stability and playability. Sorry we have had a few bumps in the road, but these games have a HUGE amount of content, much more than most iPhone/iPad games, and it is challenging to get everything packed into these beautiful, tiny devices. -Arthur PS. to the reviewer below, yes it makes me giggle to have 2-year olds sound like an 82 year old man when they cough.
Virtual Families is a casual family sim that runs in true real time, and now this top-selling simulation game for iPhone and iPod touch is available for the iPad. Adopt a little person from the thousands of choices of little people who live inside your iPad. Encourage them to work in their chosen career to earn money for necessities and luxuries, help them choose a suitable mate, start and raise a family, let them kick back with a variety of leisure activities, and take care of and improve their home. Along the way, there will be many different random events to respond to, house malfunctions to repair, and mini-puzzles to solve, all of them adding an unexpected element to the daily routine. This is the same sensational game that became a smash Windows and Mac hit!
The game continues to progress in true real time, even when your iPad is turned off, so don’t forget to check in regularly to care for your little people.

Virtual Families Is Da Bomb
Okay, so I'll start with the good stuff. This game ROCKS!!! Like, I mean, this game is brilliant. Bad news: I'll tell you a story... One day (today) I clicked on Virtual Families for IPad and went to check on my wonderful family, Sophette, Archie, Floppy, Omicron, Sandrilla, Rose, Phantom, and Burozo. Then all the sudden when I click "Play", the whole game CRASHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't believe how mad I got... But anyway (continuing my story), I tried and tried and tried. I even thought about deleting then re-buying the game, but I was scared I would loose all my data. So now I'm writing this review...but by the time you read this I won't be writing a review. So in all, PLEASE UPDATE for NO CRASHING!!!! Also, maybe you can include a way or make it easier to have twins, triplets, or quadruplets because I've never have any of those, just single babies. Also a fun thing to include in you next update is school for the kids and being able to meet your friends through Internet (although you don't have that for the pc) and see their house/family. Hmmmm, oh yeah and maybe feeding the animals you have besides the fish. Hope you enjoyed/read the whole review and i also hope this helped, PEACE!!! P.s I gave this only four stars because of the crashing ( I won't be playing I suppose until the update) and the small lack of what I wrote like school, friends, Ect.
I absolutely LOVE this game!!! But there could be more. Like maybe you could upgrade your house to a mansion, add a school for kids, have them walk there, take a bus, or their parents could drive them, and you could have the pets die eventually, and pay extra for more than one pet, and you could clean up their messes in the house and backyard, and the last thing, please make it to where we can talk to them. They can talk to us, so why can't we talk to them? And it would SO cool if you made an multiplayer mode that's online, and you can chat with the other people and role play. And it would also be cool if you could control one of them, and make them talk to the other people in your house, while the others have minds of their own. You could also add more house upgrades and longer lifespans. And PLEASE make more interactions with the other people in the house. Also make it to where a kid can have friends from school and they can go over to other people's houses. It might take multiple upgrades, but I'll wait as long as it takes. But theres one more thing. How do you stop a stove fire? I've tried the hoses, and there's no fire extinguisher. Please, somebody help me figure this out. Whenever it happens, my people die from starvation! Please help! And add these suggestions!
Appreciated the update, but wish it were more substantive. How about a Virtual Families 2? Great regular updates for Virtual Villagers, but there is so much room to grow Virtual Families that one wonders why it is taking so long. It would be well worth the investment.
Wish there was a greater variety of characters, new and more store items, and additional activities to do around the house. There is a lot of vacant real estate in the yard that could be used for gardening activities. Characters could grow produce then preserve it by canning to build cooking skill. Gardener or farmer could be a career as well.
You could also lose some beds in the kids room to gain an additional room for sewing activities. Or, id love to be able to buy a floor plan upgrade the same way i buy a room upgrade with money earned by game characters.
