Vision RFS - Crimson 4+

Way to many steps to complete a work order. Needs a work flow, not constant clicking back on forth. Can’t copy. Constant kicking you out of the app. Picking different work order when logging back in. Forms are horrible, better of using paper. This app is no way even mobile friendly. I rather go back to Unix and a command prompt. You need to take your office people out into field and try using your app 10 times a days and if your reviews don’t speak for themself, you seem not to care to even try to make the app better.

Works passably well. There are a bunch of small quality of life issues that are annoying. Not being able to copy information from fields, the terrible green color that strains the eyes, having to constantly be paranoid about manually refreshing the page you’re on or refresh the day or work order after every little change.

The biggest annoyance is not being able to click a phone number and have your phone give you the pop up to dial the number, so we’re constantly writing down every phone number we need to call on a separate piece of paper. Difficult to share contacts due to the same issue.

The service log doesn’t do a very good job of showing what you did during the week. Took weeks for one of our guys to stumble across the outright unintuitive way that you cycle between previous days of the week, and the information it lists is not very useful to the tech. If we’re going to use a service log, chances are we’re checking to make sure our log matches our time sheet, or we’re looking to see when we were at which job. It doesn’t even list the customer name next to the hours.

The system tracks my inventory, but it doesn’t appear to give me the most useful information, which would be a list of all the parts I sold during the week, so again, writing everything on a sheet of paper. The search functionality isn’t very sophisticated, but I suppose that may just be because we’re accustomed to google. Typing refrigerant and scrolling through every gas available instead of bing able to type r404a and have it be the only one that pops up.

Ultimately this software seems to be very good at delivering a lot of detailed information to our office support staff, who I’m sure the developers interact with more, but for the guys in the field, it’s been a frustrating slog. Every dispatching software has it’s hitches when you’re getting used to it, but after a year of use, it still feels like the most cumbersome one I’ve ever used. I’m a tech savvy person and I’m spending way too much time writing things with pen and paper.

Only use if you enjoy waiting minutes at a time just to click a button, our company used them and we spent more time waiting for things to load than I did doing my actual job.

Not to mention their program is an innavigable mess where data is regularly lost or mis-entered into our invoices and database.

Would give negative stars if possible
