Vita Mahjong ٤+

I used to play Mahjong years ago and loved it, but then I was told that it was a religious game and so I stopped playing. I would want to play again, but I would remember what was said previously. Then one day I decided to check out Mahjong and see if anything came of it being a religious game and although it has a culture from the beginning so does Chess, Spades, Poker and the other games so I decided to find a Mahjong game that I liked that was challenging and I found this one and I love it.

I does challenge your mind and coming from a person who has had many different illnesses including brain issues this game is very soothing and the music is so relaxing that you forget that you are playing a game and I just relax and try to do the best that I can it’s working for me.

Thanks for sharing this game with me and all of the rest of the people playing Mahjong. I simply love this game so very much. Again thanks.

Fun buuut...

The first time I played this game there were barely any ads. From the second time on, the ads are nonstop, popping up after each level and honestly taking longer to watch than to complete a level. So I checked out the "no ads" option. It says it's a one-time fee of $5.99 yet it also says it renews before the next "period." It doesn't say how long a"period" is -a month? a year? Now why would I sign myself up for an auto-renew situation having no idea what I'm signing up for? Unfortunately, I can't trust the ability to cancel the auto-renew since many, many developers make it impossible to do so either by using cryptic procedures, failing to reply to customers, and/or displaying error messages that it can't be completed at this time. The fact that I can't find info on the auto-renew time frame makes me think this is one of the shady apps.

I play these games when I need to relax or to calm my anxiety. Neither watching endless ads nor spending significant time to find out how this "subscription" works (or how to cancel it) is definitely not my idea of relaxation. Sadly, it may come down to deleting the app. Other than that, I really enjoyed this game!

Deleted Vita Mahjong

After 3 days of serious addiction to this game, I ended up deleting it for a couple of reasons. From day 1, I won the games at the end of the day . . . Really??? Are these competitors just created “people”? Second reason, each time I tried to use a reshuffle, the game would somehow disable internet access and keeps coming back urging me to go online. Only resetting my device would fix this, for a short time. Third reason, it was addictive and I found myself spending way too much time playing. Fourth reason: the ads are over the top. As another player noted, they just don’t go away; pressing X just seems to be encouraging them to stick around . . . And bring some other ads. I understand revenue, I understand that this game was free, but 2-3 minutes for an ad every time one finishes a board is over the top! Today, however, I missed the game (after 3 days, mind you . . . Talk about it being addictive!) and re-installed it. I have to re-earn all awards. Will limit my playtime and see how it goes. All in all, I clearly like the game!
