No ads fee - It’s definitely worth paying the No ads fee. I did have an issue with the No ads fee but it cleared up all of a sudden. This can happen with any video game.
The best way that I can explain how the No ads feature works is, every 10 levels, you will get the option to click on Collect without having to watch an ad and receive 2 free shuffles and 2 free hints. You will also get the option to click on Collect x2 and sometimes Collect x4 and receive 4 to 8 free shuffles and hints if you are willing to watch an ad. I like the option of watching the ad because I like my shuffles and hints to add up quickly every 10 levels.
If I already have plenty of shuffles and hints, I can simply click on Collect and avoid watching an ad.

I’ve been playing for awhile… over 6300+ games now. Been enjoying it, but I think that’s over now. Today, playing with the most recent game update, I found the game adding in additional blocking tiles during the game. One of the features I was enjoying about the game was the lack of time pressure. I could play at my own pace. But it appears that has changed.

Also, why do you advertise that the game has no ads when it has tons of ads, often during a single game, and now the ads open up internet windows on its own. Also, there have been ads that have blocked the bottom line or two. I have given feedback that they are covering content, with no results. There are ads that have tiny “x” in the far upper corner very close to the edge and it doesn’t close out the window of the ad. Or, there is no way to close out the ad, and had to reboot the game in order to move on. Not to mention that you spend more time waiting for ads to end than one actually playing the game. The ads, which are mentioned in so many of these reviews, are a real problem.

There are lots of mahjong games so I might as well try them.

The first time I played this game there were barely any ads. From the second time on, the ads are nonstop, popping up after each level and honestly taking longer to watch than to complete a level. So I checked out the "no ads" option. It says it's a one-time fee of $5.99 yet it also says it renews before the next "period." It doesn't say how long a"period" is -a month? a year? Now why would I sign myself up for an auto-renew situation having no idea what I'm signing up for? Unfortunately, I can't trust the ability to cancel the auto-renew since many, many developers make it impossible to do so either by using cryptic procedures, failing to reply to customers, and/or displaying error messages that it can't be completed at this time. The fact that I can't find info on the auto-renew time frame makes me think this is one of the shady apps.

I play these games when I need to relax or to calm my anxiety. Neither watching endless ads nor spending significant time to find out how this "subscription" works (or how to cancel it) is definitely not my idea of relaxation. Sadly, it may come down to deleting the app. Other than that, I really enjoyed this game!
