VocalStyler is a real-time vocal mask in your pocket. As you sing or talk, your voice will be instantly rendered with a flexible set of digital effects, making it sounds more characterized, amazing, exotic, anonymized or entertaining...

You can define, store and recall multiple vocal masks, which allow a single player impersonates up-to 6 different vocal roles in one performance.

You can also add background music selected from your iTunes Library, and optionally suppress the original vocal while preserving the music component.

The output audio can be recorded to mp3 file and then shared.

Besides the default real-time mode, the built-in recorder also supports off-stage mode which allows progressive improvement of your vocal works with test-then-adjust working process.

Every iPad needs apps for dealing with voices. VocalStyler offers combo features for vocal rendering, voice changing, voice recording and publishing. It is NOT a mobile replacement of a professional vocal studio, but a lightweight, portable, affordable and handy tool addressing everyone's equivalent needs, such as: video dubbing, game dubbing, Karaoke, rapping, impromptu performance, party, anonymous interview ... and your creative use of it will be infinite.

Stay in time

I just upgraded and purchased the full version of this app after realizing that you can only perform about 30 seconds of anything until the app stops you dead in your tracks and asks you to purchase the full version which will give you unlimited time to work.
THE GOOD: I love the special effects and how you can easily upload your songs into this application. From there, you can sing long with your music adding special effects, all while recording your work. The controls are very user-friendly. There are several options to choose from, to change the sound of your voice.
THE BAD: **** A huge problem with this application is that there is a significant delay between what you say or sing, and when it is actually heard through your speakers. This makes it next to impossible to record any type of karaoke sing-along. The delay is approximately one half second which is significant with this type of application.
SUMMARY: If you are looking to use this application for only it's special effects, I would recommend this application. If you just want to record sound effects, then this application is for you.
I gave this 2 stars because the application is useless for what I wanted to use it for. But it does have good special-effects.I am very disappointed

FX are marginally useful; this app is mostly garbage.

This is a very sloppy app. There are many flaws and this hardly merits a review, however, here it is. The complaints about this app are legitimate. I have never used it in a single song even though I have recorded hundreds of tracks since owning this app. Besides the lag, the loop function is perhaps the most irritating thing as there is a slight pause before the loop repeats. This makes any BPM syncing dodgy if not impossible.
Another beef I have with this developer is the cryptically repeated "bug fixes" in the update description. This is a red flag for me and many other App Store customers as well. It is a habit of developers that are ignorant, lazy, or both.

Fun app with real potential

VocalChanger is a fun app that gives you options to easily apply effects and adjustments to your voice, live audio, music and any audio file. As a studio tech, I find this to be a great app for the home user or to just play with sound. It is worth the upgrade to get the full version. I would like to see a feature to add more synthesizer effects.
