Worst UX and Interface on an App Ever Bar None

Since this is the only place I can actually leave a review of this absolutely abysmal application, I guess I will. I have no idea why my professors insist on using it. The UX is horrendous, the interface in general is horrendous. It’s next to impossible to access anything mobile-y and if you can’t, the display is disgusting. You can’t even make a presentation full screen (mobile or desktop). There are no common-sense navigation tools, you try to sign in to view a presentation and it just prompts you keep signing in over and over until you finally give up and accept you will never be able to view the presentation without a computer. Nothing works right, it’s got terrible accessibility, and I really don’t understand the grad school obsession with this app. It’s frankly, just flat out awful and I can’t wait until I take a class where the professor recognizes how terrible this app is and uses something with far better features on the accessibility front and otherwise. I would not recommend this app to anyone, I would seriously caution educators from continuing to or start using it, and I can’t wait until the day I’m not forced to use it anymore. Truly a terrible app.

Worst app ever

This is truly the most annoying and worst app I think I use out of all of my apps. My school has to use this and it drives me crazy. First of all you can’t even go into landscape mode so most often when I’m trying to look at my PowerPoint they’re tiny and I can’t see anything, there’s also not a volume button. It is constantly logging me out, and I have to go back in through canvas because it won’t actually except my login information which is incredibly annoying. There is no user functionality whatsoever and I literally can’t stand using this app. Also it doesn’t allow for background app so if you ever click out of the screen, it stops what you’re doing and you have to go back in and go through the process all over again which once again takes time and is annoying. I feel like these are easy fixes, and if anyone cared about their job, they would want to change this, but it’s like they don’t even care. VoiceThread please do some updates, your users who pay lots of money deserve it.

Potential App Improvements/Upgrade

I believe with this app could benefit from some functional improvements/upgrades, as I stand with a list of others who most likely think the same way. The application has potential, at least through the iPad version, it can benefit from enabling split screen, PiP (picture in picture) mode, background audio after leaving application, and/or web app preference instead of being coerced to download from store. I believe this can be translated to the mobile version also, with the exception of iPad/tablet exclusive multitasking features. More times than not, I don’t always have the convenience to access my personal computer, where the desktop web interface is friendlier. When on the go, a more mobile devices such as my smartphone or tablet is preferred. With being the main platform for many professors to lecture through, it shouldn’t inconvenient to operate, which in turn, leads to a lackluster learning experience for busy modern students.
