Voice 4+

I bought this app years ago, and it worked flawlessly. It now does not work at all. When I export audio, it only exports the first 28 seconds. If I try to export it again, it freezes and crashes. When I try to open it again, the app opens without the actual application window opening. I then have to restart my computer to have the oppurtunity to try again. I wouldnt recomennd this app to anyone. Great idea, well excuted in the past, but it is utterly useless and dysfunctional at this point.

The speed control has almost no effect. Does not have any pause control. The slider has no numeric value associated. That makes it hard to fine tune.

I’ve used this app for several years, since before it was a paid app, as I enjoy being able to listen to books while I work and travel. It is a nice way to be productive, while absorbing new info and stories. Unfortunately, while the latest iteration is still good, its new audio options make it unstable. When I test a voice and try to stop it, it usually crashes or freezes. Of course, when it works, it works well. For the price, it does a great job. It would be nice to have a few format options for output, other than ‘aiff,’ something like mp3 or m4b. Compressed audio has been a pretty popular thing for at least a decade. It would definitely make this app more convenient.
