Welcome to the world of Volv. A digital detox that still keeps you updated on what’s happening without getting sucked into the social media vortex. It makes you feel intellectually stimulated while relaxing on an oasis of calm in this chaotic world. We capture the zeitgeist of this generation - like what’s the next IT shoe after the Adidas sambas? Or is micro-cheating really considered cheating? Is tween skincare a thing? What do europeans really think about Americans? What is the new dream job for everyone? We got you covered because we know what you’re going to read even before you do.
What you can expect on Volv:
• Read articles in 9 seconds
• AI generated content
• One article fits in one screenshot
Discover a plethora of cool 9 second articles:
• Interesting newsletters
• Latest hype trends
• Viral twitter discourse and TikTok hacks
• Breaking news from Huffington Post, CNN, The NY Times, The Washington Post, Vogue, People Magazine, Fox News, Smart News, Politico, Feedly, Vanity Fair and more
You can also dive deeper by tapping on ‘Check it out.’ We link out to Tweets, Instagram posts, videos, news articles, and even newsletters so you can get a clear understanding of the matter. This means you can now read your favorite newsletters from Substack to Morning Brew right here on Volv, instead of them clogging up your inbox. We know about those unopened subscriptions.

Update the app for Volv Exposé
A deep dive into what and how much you’ve actually read in 2023
Ratings and Reviews
Finally news that are fun and informative
I stopped reading the news 2 years ago because I couldn’t bring myself to read so much. Since downloading Volv, I use it every day. I prefer using this app even over Instagram and I’m learning about the most important things happening. It’s easy to dive deeper into a story, and they recently added timelines for major events in stories such as the Ukraine Russian war. Couldn’t recommend more.
Does way too much tracking
Articles contain links to and are sourced from suspicious websites and clicking on a link in an article will give you a pop-up that says “Your iPhone has been HACKED”. Use at your own risk. I for one, do not trust this app after getting a message telling me my phone is hacked while using the app and clicking to read one of the feature stories. Also many stories have links which when clicked give pop-up advertising offers to enter contests “Win A free Rolex” (better known as give us your email and we will give you some malware). Article summaries use poor grammar and am guessing they must be written by an AI. All around interesting concept but shady execution. Nothing but a waste of time. Update: Developer response is disingenuous and not accurate. Articles, not all, but definitely some of them are linked to scammy/suspicious web sites as I stated in original review. I stand by my original review. And to the developers: I have zero interest in helping you “fix” a problem you deny exits. I have less than zero interest in helping you fix your business model.
Developer Response ,
Hey! Thanks for the feedback. We’re sorry to hear this. We only link to credible, verifiable sources and we’re not sure how these suspicious websites are showing up. Nevertheless, we are looking into this issue! Please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org so we can get in touch with you and fix this ASAP!
Constantly asking for notifications
I’ve been using this app for several months now and I really enjoy it. It’s a great way to get brief news on various topics and read articles about the items I really care about. However, I’m not appreciating the new update that constantly asks me to turn on notifications. I can barely scroll past three articles before it asks me again. I don’t like to have notifications on for most every app because it can be distracting. Volv has a rare place on my home screen and I check it often, but I’m not sure I can handle this annoying pop up much longer. Please, ask once then respect my decision not to allow notifications. Because yes, Volv does really work without it :)
