Check the charge level and when the battery will be charged, plus charging history. With the Extended Range battery, you can also set charge limit.

See the nearest public charging station within Volvo Cars’ charging partners network and request for navigation. In future, you can also pay for charging within the app.

Use your phone to check if the car is locked and – wherever you are – to remotely lock and unlock your Volvo.

Stay cool and updated. Via the app, you can manage over-the-air updates at the times that suit you best.

I received an email about updating the car’s software however nothing is mentioned in the app when I look up software. I’m used to Tesla updating on its own. When will Volvo EX 30 Plus be scheduling updates and asking what time I want it done?

App can’t connect to car
When taking delivery, the dealer worked for 4 hours to connect the app and then gave up. He sent us home and said “keep trying when you get home.” After 24 hours we were successful at attaching my wife’s phone as the “owner” profile. Over the last 3 weeks we have tried and failed to connect a second phone. We’ve investigated every permutation of uninstalling, purging, changing phones, changing Volvo accounts. The second phone always displays “could not prepare the app” or at the Home Screen “could not switch car” when the car icon is selected. The car itself is marvelous. The software not so much.

Works most of the time
The app is limited in what it can do. Keep that in mind, and it works most of the time. I really hope it improves by adding more functionality. It would be nice to have more climate controls, like the ability to set a temperature and turn the AC on/off. The map is pretty useless right now.
But like I said if you keep in mind the limitations it works.
