I purchased four VStarCam cameras (two indoor/2 outdoor) and initially was able to install them after downloading the app. The cameras were slow to operate but I appreciated being able to monitor both video and audio. I found that the cameras went offline every few weeks which required me to delete and reinstall them. Now, none of the cameras will come back online even though the app can see that they are plugged in. Tech support says to reset the cameras, but this has proven not to work. I recommend avoiding this brand.
T6835WIP was working well until about a week ago. Restarted phone, deleted and reinstalled the app, and reset the cam to factory settings. Nothing works. I even tried adding it to the WinBook app (it is a WinBook camera, but only works on your app).
The cameras themselves work well once you figure out how to set them up. The software is usually quirky, but functional - however, suddenly the app is displaying everything in Chinese! Rendered useless as I am not a man from China - nor do I play one on radio or television.... Can't find any settings (that not reading Chinese thing) to fix this.
I recently updated from previous version and immediately regretted. The problem is if my camera and iphone are in the same local network at home, I cannot connect to the camera anymore. However It works perfectly if I'm connected to my office network or using data plan.
For some very strange reason the upgraded app disabled the language function and converted the entire app into Chinese. Now, I do not read a word of Chinese so I cannot even change anything under settings. Can the app developers please look into this. It’s very inconvenient.
