"Wa" has several means "Peace", "Relaxation" and "Japan". And "Kingyo" means "Goldfish". The theme of this application is beauty and prettiness of the Japanese traditional classic art. The goldfish and background images are drawn like a Japanese traditional painting and industrial art object. The bait has a shape of the familiar flower and leaf (cherry blossom, chrysanthemum, camellia, myosotis, maple) for Japanese. Please feel Japanese mind.

I Love Wa Kingyo! Daisuki!

I love Wa Kingyo! It is simple and elegant, yet fascinating and beautiful. This app is great when you need a break from the world for a "Zen" moment of tranquility and relaxing contemplation.

The lovely graphics, realistic fish motion and stunning water effects with gentle sound make this an all-time favorite app. I have had this app for several years (since iPhone 4), and it looks fantastic on iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air. Thanks to the developer for the iOS 8 update. Domo arigato gozaimasu, Hakozaki-san.

Wonderful water, however: UPDATE

The app is better than I remember. It's unique and that is why I remembered and downloaded it again a long time later. It's funny because the fish are goldfish and not koi apparently; both fish are similar though. I love how serene it is, especially the water effect(s) and sound(s). To make the app even better would be to add more features, but it's fine in its simplicity.

The koi fish look unrealistic. Backgrounds are colorful and nice, but are like wallpaper (not in a good way). If the koi looked more realistic and so did the backgrounds, (ex: a pond) it would be perfect. Also, if the koi moved where you put your finger and you could feed them, then that would make this app much more interesting and a five-star app.

Beautiful and Relaxing

This app is so beautiful! I love that it is a relaxing way to spend time, without having to play an actual game and meet goals. My mother is unable to play most games, but with this app she loves to watch and feed the goldfish, and change the backgrounds and flowers. She can't wait for me to open the app for her! Thank you so much!
