Description

Welcome to WA PestWatch

In Western Australia, the Department of Fisheries needs your help to detect aquatic pests! By using WA PestWatch to report suspected pests, you help us detect new pests and monitor the spread of those already in WA. Help us achieve our ultimate goal of keeping WA’s oceans and rivers healthy and beautiful, now and in the future.

Report a pest

To submit a report on a suspected pest, follow the details on the ‘My Reports’ tab, and choose what you think it might be from the list of species.

Once submitted, your pest report will appear on the WA PestWatch map. Your report will be reviewed by the Department and may lead to further investigation.

Explore

You can also use WA PestWatch to:

* Examine all the pest reports on the interactive WA PestWatch map, showing where and what was found, and the results of investigated reports; and

* Learn about marine and freshwater pests that might invade WA in the species list.

For more information on preventing aquatic pests, go to the WA Department of Fisheries biosecurity website: www.fish.wa.gov.au/biosecurity.
