HOW IT WORKS
Here’s an example! Bo is a boxer whose pet parents have signed up for a Wagmo Wellness and a Wagmo Insurance plan. He goes in for his wellness visit where his vet does some routine bloodwork, updates his vaccines, and prescribes flea & tick medication. His pet parents take pictures of all those receipts, upload them using the Wagmo app, and have cash back in their bank account the very next day. The next month, Bo is at the park and he twists his knee and tears a muscle playing with another dog. Thankfully, he’s ok, but after x-rays, surgery and stitches, his parents get a bill for $2,500. That’s where their Wagmo Insurance kicks in. They upload receipts using the app, and since they’ve opted for 100% coinsurance, they only pay their deductible and get the rest deposited back into their account.

This app is so easy to use, just take a picture, fill out quick info, and submit. I just have the deluxe wellness plan. Most of my claims were reimbursed the same day. One claim was initially denied but after I reached out, they responded quickly and said they would reach out to the vet to confirm. The claim was reimbursed within a very reasonable timeframe despite the minor delay. The regular monthly costs also prevent large spending all at once and also end up costing less than it would to separately pay for all of the items that would be covered under the plan.

So I got the wellness plan a little bit ago and just submitted my first claim today. I submitted a claim through the app and it was as easy as taking screenshots of my email and attaching them and hitting the submit button. Like COULD NOT BE EASIER!! Claim submitted at 5:44pm PST and I got the money in my Venmo account at 6:10pm PST! That is less than 30 minutes. I’m not even home from the vet yet. What is this magic???I’m in love. Everyone get this. There is serious magic happening here.

Think Hard Before Using This Insurance

Is it easy to submit a claim? Yes. Is it a fast turn around time after submitting a claim? For the most part. But that’s where the perks of this company end. The first annoying thing is that there is no phone number to contact them, you just have to rely on email and their chat service. However that is not the most infuriating part of this company. The most ludicrous thing is that my policy was canceled after a year because…..I actually filed claims with them and they had to “pay me to much money”. That is correct, I was canceled because I used the insurance I paid for. I spoke with the VP and he said their was absolutely nothing that can be done, but if I wanted to in the future I could sign up any other pets I may get with their company. I work in the veterinary industry and will 100% never recommend them to any other clients, nor will I ever use them again. They have comprised the care of my pets that I had insured with them, as they are now no longer insurable with any other company due to pre existing conditions now. This company is a joke and one of the ones that gives insurance a bad name and reputation.
