Can be better

Why does location have to be set to always? You can no longer use the app with location set to Only While Using. I don’t appreciate being tracked 24/7. App tends to log off sometimes during deliveries. You need to have the option to where I can “log off after this delivery” instead of having to get penalized for rejecting a delivery because I’m through driving but received an offer before able to complete previous one and stop driving. Notification sound for offer needs to be something else that I can actually hear. I would also like to see where I am delivering to before accepting an offer. Gas prices are too high to be delivering one item 15 miles and turning around to drive back to area 15 miles for $5 and no tip.

Hello QueenP903, thanks for your feedback! We're sorry to hear our app is not displaying enough information and may require some tracking but are totally committed to fixing these issues so hopefully in the future, our drivers will be able to see distance and not be penalized for location.

Waitr is making moves

I’m definitely impressed with Waitr, in my opinion, over the past 6 months or so they have constantly been telling us to update this or update that, combining apps and asking for feedback from the drivers. I’m liking the direction they are going, trying to keep this as simple as possible. I do wish that we as drivers had a rating system on our profile that customer’s could answer a few questions about the delivery process and bam, there you go. Somethings are out of our control and those should be removed from management. I work for another company and me personally, I constantly refer back to my ratings. I want to know how the customer feels I’m treating them (that’s what really matters), not how I feel I’m treating them. Also, if they could give the distance from where we are to the pickup location and to the drop off location as soon as the order is being sent out, that would be helpful. Instead, we have to accept order to see total mileage and then can release order. I hate releasing an order.

Thank you! We will keep making you happy!

Not as bad for me!

I started using waitr maybe a month ago just for fun. I also do doordash for fun. I have a good paying job but I have extra time on my hands so I like to make extra money.

My area is dominated by Doordash, Waitr is loosing customers sadly. I enjoy the app because it doesn’t put pressure on me like doordash does and I can just start driving whenever I want.
I’ve done maybe 25 deliveries and I only accept orders of $9 or more; yes, since waitr lost momentum in this area, waitr lost drivers and customers so now to regain they pay more per order so the order is picked up quickly and delivered. I don’t get many orders but I don’t care to get many orders anyway. Doordash on the other hand, sends plenty of orders, but I can’t dash unless it’s busy (my acceptance rate is 9%) and they send a lot of low paying orders which I decline immediately.
I don’t find much wrong with it so far, but again, this is just fun for me. Hopefully Waitr regains customers and trust. I do like it so far.
