Description
Walk-in Theater™ is a first-person VR video experience powered by intuitive BodyNav™ technology. Leverage your innate sense of space and minimize motion sickness.
Walk-in Theater™ unveils a new cinematic form – the Walkie. It uses MONKEYmedia's patented, body-based navigation technology (BodyNav™) to put people in control of their movement through virtual space and minimize motion sickness.
Departing from one-way, linear cinema played on a single rectangular screen, a Walkie is a virtual environment where visitors move through multi-channel video in a 3D sound space. This architectural dimensionality creates a kind of experience that lets the world reveal itself and invites discovery on the part of visitors.
Version 2.0 has been rewritten to enable stereoscopic viewing via Cardboard and other VR headsets. It also features a new lobby for navigating an ever-growing library of 3D Walkies from notable media artists, including Ai Wei Wei, Deborah Hay and the Blue Lapis Light Aerial Dance Company.

Awesome virtual engagement
The artworks featured are engaging and thoughtful - I feel like I’m right there next to the performers. It’s nice to have control of where I look/move, without needing an extra accessory like a remote. Didn’t feel out of balance or control, very cool virtual experience.
Best VR idea
Great VR immersion idea, should be studied by potential VRMMORPG developers. Head tracking, 3D sound and safely moving around all solved cheaply and in a satisfactory way.
What did I just pay for? Is this a joke?
Wasted an hour trying to figure out what does this app do. Plays multiple tiny windows of videos. Useless. What a waste of time and money!
