A great motivator—especially when paired with a better pedometer. I love how it adjusts to your activity level and pushes you onwards. The derbies are fun and helpful to stay motivated.
What had caused a three star rating is the difference between the web interface and the app. There are so many things you can only do on the web, or are so cumbersome on the app as to be nearly impossible. If the developers would work to make the app as good as the web version, this would be great!
Needs to track more types of exercise than walking!
Walkadoo needs to integrate more fully with products such as Apple Health or other apps to track other types of exercise. I cycle and walk and I get no credit for cycling 30 miles (2 + hours)and it adversely affects the group I am in for Work Derbies. I should at least get 1/3 of the miles for walking. If I cycle 30 miles I should get 10 miles credit for walking. If I cycle I don’t have the energy or time to walk another 10 miles to keep up our groups mile status up to par, nor my Walkadoo assigned goals. Getting no credit for for other forms of exercise is not a good way for Blue Cross and other insurances to encourage people to enjoy other forms of exercise. Maybe they should use another company for an App. Walkadoo please add other forms of exercise!
App has not picked up any steps for the last 5 days from phone or Fitbit One. I tried syncing the phone and Fitbit manually. App says it got the sync but no steps were recorded. Frustrating. Ready to delete it.
Update: I contacted Fitbit and they helped me figure out how to record steps with this app. Works fine now. I still don’t have consistent steps with the iPhone but I think it is too big in my pocket. I am rating this app 4 stars for the rocky start
